Vacation Love

Who doesn’t love a good vacation, am I right? We found a great hotel in Islamorada, Florida (which is close to home) called the Post Card Inn. We were going to celebrate my older and wiser sister’s birthday. Our plan was to sip great beverages and to not worry about a thing! I loved the whole look of the resort, but I really fell in love when I tried their frozen sangria! I for one, love frozen drinks and sangria. Put them together and it’s one hell of a party!

The rooms are beautifully decorated in a coastal cottage theme. The staff is beyond helpful and made sure that we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The beds in our room were so dreamy, that I was able to listen to my mom snore all night!!

The Post Card Inn has a few cool places to dine; two tiki bars, and my personal favorite  was Ciao Hound, which is a fabulous Italian restaurant, and an onsite Starbucks! The Starbucks’ junkies just fell in love when I mentioned that!

What I really loved is that most of the activities are included in a small resort fee. They include snorkeling, bicycle riding, kayaking, and a water trampoline. Jet skiing is also available, for an additional charge but if you choose to enjoy refreshing cocktails by the water, I would suggest you watch others jet ski! Safety first 🙂

If you are an early riser, you can sit on the beach with your cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. At night you can relax by the pool, have a drink, and enjoy the live music while sitting under the stars next to a cozy fire pit. The live music really got us going…and we did dance like no one was watching! If you were watching, well I really am sorry ha-ha!

Oh, and did I mention shopping? They have cute boutiques for you to spend all of your money in.

With great pools, great views, tasty cocktails and everything else you could want, why not give the Post Card Inn a try!! We are actually planning our next visit.

We’ll see you there!
